The Country Yard Shop Hop Quilt 2018

Ladies, have you marked your calendars yet for this fun event taking place from the 12th to 26th May 2018??  Make sure you pick up a flyer from one of your local Northern quilt stores for all the details.

This is a snapshot of our Shop Hop Quilt where we have combined romantic, botanical, floral fabrics and butterfly stitcheries.

Introducing "SUNSET IN NORTHLAND"

Over our break time I finished our quilt for Shop Hop 2018. I have called this one Sunset in Northland. The background is pieced bricks then the silhouettes of birds and flora are appliqued on top. This is an exclusive design from our design team, especially for Shop Hop 2018.
The Shop Hop Event runs from 12 May to 26 May. There is a flyer of information about the Shop Hop available from in the store. Registrations open 1st March, cost is $60 per person. 2018 Shop Hop - The Apple Basket quilt progress

Here is a glimpse of our 2018 Shop Hop quilt. "Rainy Days Quilt designed by
Tegan Montgomery-Williams.  It has mixture of Brights and Greys using Kaffe Fassett Collective, Moda Grunge and Moda Compositions (greys).  Using machine applique and machine piecing techniques - that doesn't mean to say that you can't make it by hand.   Make sure you come back and see the progress of this quilt often. 

Major Prize Winner - Congratulations

Congratulations to Kate Halliday.  Kate was the winner of our Shop Hop main prize draw, her prize, a SewEzi Portable Sewing Table.  This SewEzi was kindly donated by Dave and Catherine Davies-Colley of SewEzi.  Kate was absolutely delighted with her win.
